MB's solventless cold water extraction system separates active trichomes from plant material. Water is chilled in the insulated storage tank and then transferred into the insulated processing tank, which is also chilled. A speed-controlled paddle/rake system agitates the cannabis, separating the trichomes. The wash exits the processing tank through a slotted stainless filter and enters the filtering cart (the filter cart can be purchased separately for other systems). The first stage in filtering is a speed-controlled vibrating filter that removes any vegetal matter that made it through the slotted stainless screen. From there, it drops into a series of mesh filter bags that can remove product at various micron ratings chosen by the user. Wash water is collected below the mesh bags and can be recycled back into the processing tank via a whirlpool port to potentially increase efficiency, recollected in the storage tank at any time, or pumped into the drain. Both the pump and vibrator are speed-controlled. All piping in this system is insulated to reduce energy consumption.
